1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Scrollina mobile application or website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Scrollina is a learning platform that provides:

  • Daily Drop: A discovery feed of educational content (free, ad-supported)
  • Predefined Courses: Structured courses with lessons, quizzes, and flashcards
  • AI Custom Courses: Personalized course generation (premium feature)
  • Collections: Save and organize educational content

3. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Subscription and Payment

4.1 Subscription Tiers

  • Free Tier: Access to Daily Drop (ad-supported), Lesson 1 of all courses, Limited features
  • Plus Tier ($4.99/month): Ad-free experience, Unlimited access to "Vitamin" courses, Access to "The Vault"
  • Pro Tier ($9.99/month): All Plus features, Unlimited access to "Painkiller" toolkits, Unlimited AI custom course generation, Priority support

4.2 Payment Terms

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Refunds are handled according to App Store/Play Store policies
  • We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice

5. User Content

  • You retain ownership of any content you create using the Service
  • You grant us a license to use, modify, and display your content to provide and improve the Service
  • You are responsible for any content you create or share
  • You agree not to create or share content that is illegal, harmful, or violates these Terms

6. Intellectual Property

  • All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by Scrollina
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our content without permission
  • Educational content is provided for personal learning purposes only
  • Commercial use of our content requires written permission

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the Service
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Collect or harvest information about other users

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scrollina shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

10. Termination

  • We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any violation of these Terms
  • You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through the app settings
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately
  • Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page, updating the "Last Updated" date, and sending an email notification (for significant changes). Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
